It makes sense for hunting whales to provide an astounding amount of meat. It doesn't make sense for whale meat to be... meatier... than other meat. If a village hunts a whale, that ought to give them enough meat that they just get sick of it and don't want to hunt another one that year.

To be clear the issue with OP foods is less so that they're time efficient or give more stats in and of itself, but that they effectively raise your stat softcap. If you eat 100 whale autumn steaks you will gain 170-200 attributes. If you eat 100 hedgehog autumn steaks you'll probably gain like 15 attributes, but you'll damage your hunger the same amount leading to less future stat growth.

Whale meat could remain an OP fun occasional reward without encouraging degenerate/unfun behavior if the feasting system were not bad >> viewtopic.php?f=48&t=73262&p=911169

I really liked this idea from one of the most effort posters on the forum, whale hunting is a chore and nobody wants to do it even with bots (which shouldn't be required in the first place), make whale meat just not relevant for combat stats (as in, prevent it from ever giving str/agi/con). This will help newbies keep up with big boy factions who just use bots to find whales.

I killed two whales in the past two months just for fun and didn't even eat the meat.

Look dumbass, i quit before cheese was a thing two worlds in a row now, my character didn't eat a single piece of cheese and my village doesn't have cheese bots. On the other hands i have like 10 whale skulls around my great hall (also not botted), hunting whales is a fucking chore and i still prefer to do it over cheese. Issue with whales is that without botting you set out for a 4-12 hour knarr ride with a possibility of getting nothing in return. If you think cheese is what makes the stat diff between big boys and you in the first 3 months, it's a skill issue (especially considering your funny fiat currency).

I do agree cheese is busted and being able to bot the best food in the game long-term is dumb, but that's not what this topic is about, this topic is about a mechanic that was made worse to make botting harder but only made it so botting is even more required.

And whales are not difficult to bot, stop yapping when you got no clue what you yapping just bcs you got some kind of vendetta against me (rent-free btw) schizo.
