same here, I find it bizarrely soothing in the way it absolutely commands my attention and won't let my mind wander.

IDK if you'd have to call it anything referencing medical shit, just put a "reduced visual effects" option somewhere with a disclaimer that households full of dysgenic players are appreciated but not actively sought after

To be honest, this definitely makes me apprehensive about messing with liberty caps, as flashing lights are definitely on the list of things that both trigger, and intensify symptoms of my cluster headaches. Since a cluster headache can last a week or more bouncing between a functional low intensity pain state, and a higher intensity state where even bright light can cause pain to the point of nausea and sometimes cause blackouts a disabling, or dampening feature that will swap the flashing lights with something else would definitely be appreciated.

Digging up this thread instead of making a new one. I want to bring this issue to the devs once again. With steam release, accessibility is more important than ever. Meanwhile I still need to alt-tab the game for 20 minutes whenever I consume anything containing liberty caps so I don't get sick like a cat. Please reduce the flashing effect or add a toggle to disable it.

i swear to god, if they remove the funny flash effect, i hold you all accountable for it.

what prevents you from just disabeling it on your custom clients? like the dungeon shaking.

The devs should be the ones to give us that toggle. Many custom clients don't have this option, I'm very thankful hurricane does. There was a time where I wasn't sure I could play this world at all because of the possibility of flashbombing. Did not enjoy being told by loftar that my degree of disability doesn't exist last time this came up. What does he think super fucked up disabled people do to pass their life exactly?

Come on guys ... it's just an item, can't you take a break from the game when you consume mushrooms? A little break, how about that? It might even do you some good.

If I had to make a list of all the things that annoy me.

If I accidentally take the mushrooms, the instant flash of light will give me a 6 hour long migraine. Please believe people who are disabled, it's a really thing for us to lie about. Just because you don't go through this doesn't mean no one does.

All we're asking for is a goddamned toggle, it doesn't even have to be on by default. Why do I have to rely on a custom client maker for this?

Looks like someone doesn't want this game to get better where it can, and doesn't give a fuck about people who have epilepsy or other stuff

Loftar literally tuned down the camera smoothness thingy when I told him it was making me nauseous. I'm pretty sure the devs care about their game and playerbase, unlike you.
