Ignoring the fact that this Scouter1 fellow doesn't seem to understand what local pools are, ironically, isn't that what you're more or less suggesting by removing local pools? The ideal method of gathering things will be the exact same way we used to farm animal nodes. Leaving a scout alt, which logs in and out on 18 minute rotations, on the highest quality node for a non-local pooled resource is more or less the best way to gather it.

If you don't care about quality you can just set a bot to walk a long path as well, I suppose, or even scout by using road previews.

Local pools are the only thing that make gathering infinite of certain goods annoying enough that we don't get unlimited glimmermoss the first day we get bat capes.

In world 7, I had cupboards full of pearls the second I set up a bot to boat down a river, fill up on mussels, then port back to boil them indefinitely. It kind of broke the economy, because I could buy literally anything with pearls.

lol nobody gives enough of a shit about any foragable other than maybe truffles to be trying to minmax or bot collecting them

At this point in the world the entire economy is broken and the only thing worth anything is tokens because people are trying to transfer wealth to future worlds.

I'm pretty sure an early game character being fed Edel, river pearls, Glimmer, etc, by scout bots, would have a pretty significant advantage. River pearls are 4.1k lp/hour even at q10, for 1 slot and 15 weight. All you'd need is a single bot per character you'd want to sustain with pearls. The average for any quality down any random river would probably be 6k lp/hour.

I'm not sure mandatory pearl botting to not be doubled by UA is fun either.

already addressed in op + if I learned casuals were pearl botting and studying pearls I doubt it'd actually matter + if studying pearls were an issue, maybe the problem is pearls + you're retarded + that's a stellar argument for it being hard to find washed up bladder-racks and sage lmAO

You try to make the argument that all local pools are worthless except maybe truffles, I give a specific example of River Pearls which are exceedingly broken if not local pooled, then you call me a retard and say the exception to the rule you proposed is retarded/preposterous.

All this because your autist brain can't stand that you don't have access to everything in unlimited supply.

But yeah, I'm sure I agree that washed up bladderwacks probably don't need to be local pooled as it just makes credos slightly more annoying if you don't know to skip it early world.

Lp is literally not real, good curios from local pools are irrelevant after week 1 bcs you can get stuff that's good enough to keep up and never be doubled. I do agree that truffles without local pools would be cancer but that's because they are cancer to begin with and should be fixed.

Tbh, if i was able to go to mountains daily and get myself a few edels but not be able to do multiple trips with the same results i think that'd be perfectly fine.
