How mound beds are tax if they require literal dirt to build?

Winter suck cause I had to wait whole week to continue building my base and someone filled my cupboards with edelweiss level curio I didn't ask for.

Sounds like a skill issue. Nothing stops you from building in winter.
Even snow doesn't stop you, just dig it out or put a mound bed in the area and keep digging.

Okay, but you can just wait 5 days and do the same without all those extra steps, there is no benefit to doing basically ANYTHING during winter other than stoat hunting and maybe gathering the shrooms. (Both of those offset by the fact you can't find bears or all the normal stuff)

Forced break + mmo = idiot idea
Imagine WoW had 5x less drops and xp for a week. What's the point?

I wouldn't get rid of it because I don't mind sledding around exploring for 2 days but then I've got cupboards of snow curios by that point and not much left to explore. Then it's just sort of incredibly boring for another week.

My friends trying to start a hermitage to try the noob experience and having to tell him oh it's winter u can't get seeds, it's winter u can't get rustroot. U might as well log off till its not winter.
