That is NOT the reason for the hostility.
Also, can you answer my question?

Luno wrote:can you tell me what would be a not "very large amount of resources" recipe?

I didn't know that I had to create a multi-ingredient recipe to deal with what I would assume should be a minor annoyance. Again my confusion came with the game being so pedantic as to giving you a buff that says "shields you from Midges', while technically giving you that ability, the reality being that the buff from just rubbing Tansy on yourself is not alleviating the major annoyance which is them incessantly following you around. In practice, just rubbing the plant on yourself to deal with them has no practical effect. It was explained why a further step was created for something that should be so simple to counteract, and it had to do with botting. The devs obviously know the problems of the game more than me, so if they have to make an overly complex method to deal with something that should be relatively benign, then so be it.

I hope that answers your question. I would also appreciate not being called a retard.

Have a great day, afternoon or evening,

Cheers.

It does not. You said yourself:

retard wrote: be able to create some insecticide to use against them.

retard wrote:That seems like a very large amount of resources[...], so I'll pivot to just not doing that.

What would be a more reasonable recipe for what is essentially 3 hours of immunity to midges per craft?
Tell me the recipe, otherwise you are not really answering my question.

I think you just want to argue for arguements sake at this point so I'll just have to say...

Have a wonderful day, afternoon, evening or night.
