Just wanted to say that it's not true, I had 3 supports in range of the tile i mined and only 1 support broke, still caused cave-ins everywhere around.

There is some big problems here:
- Mine suppoprts are useless, especially repairing of them;
- Prospecting would be hard. Not sure how this world generated, but for previous worlds it was less natural caves on lower levels. With this retarded minesweeper tactic it would be really hard to find anything good;
- It is very easy to be fucked up in this retarded minesweeper maze. Enjoy ko from slime by every tile you digged up on level 5;

The entire system isn't that bad, but simply should be balanced.

inb4: balanced by adding minesupports for farmers and moles with super-aids which can go out from harvested tile, cuz farming is way to easy and can be botted even in default client!

Sigh, it's depressing to have dug only 6 tiles deep into an ore vein and already have a mine support get destroyed resulting in a concussion and unfaced. Especially when you have to play the "is this random part of the wall a cave-in node" gamble game since you can't build supports without metal.

first dig is random yes, but if you find one safe -> then u can mine safety

If you're mining in a cave, after destroying random wall just run on full sprint. Saved me a few concussions that way, cave-in comes a bit delayed usually.

I just started to like a miner. It became more interesting, dangerous, courageous. Metal will get value. Do you think that extracting ore is as easy as planting carrots or catching a butterfly? What country do you live in? Do you have any mines? Miner dangerous and difficult work is not forgiving mistakes. I did not build any support in the field of ore mining. I understand what your problem is. You should not hold a pickaxe in your hands, but a frying pan. Where to get it? Ask the men who have balls. The miners again became children's work. PS: looking for a miner in the village, age from 9 years old, gender is not important.

good news bad english man, this thread is no longer relevant because imo these changes they made in the patch yesterday were great all around. it can be argued mine beams still suck dick but hey, good enough.
