Such as these?

Yea

Would not fit the setting, unless you place it on boats.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_fire

Too OP otherwise, would make a great ship based weapon, it could take 1 slot off a rowboat and allow you to spew fire attacks directly in front of your boat. Would require advanced skills to build and would require some sort of alcohol fuel, that would require an advanced process of purification from alcoholic beverages to produce, and would burn up pretty fast, so the machine would be able to fire only like 4 fireballs before you need to refuel for example.

But that is a suggestion for another thread. ¦]

just reviving this thread because a flint and steel would be SO nice, lighting a bunch of ovens, smelters and steel crucibles takes fucking forever, I don't even care about the setting, having no alternative to rubbing two sticks together SUCKS

I never need more than two firebrands. What are you all, using wooden computers?

The firebrand mechanism is completely redundant and extremely annoying. I suspect it is a concept imported from Salem..

Could also be that when you have high ping the time is to short, since you lag the brand is already burning while you still see the hourglass...?

Just add flint and steel. Infinite amount of instantly lit fires for 1.99$
