Honestly I dislike botters so much I'd be okay with an obnoxious captcha system to completely prevent even AFKing. Every now and then a player is presented with a challenge only a human can pass, and failing that they are dealt with. An image of a word they have to type, etc. They shouldn't be tolerated.

I thought you'd generally bot crops for quality rather than quantity, because right now quality growth is all about squeezing max possible crop cycles per given time. Incidentally, this is also what makes H&H feel more like work than a game, because you need to schedule your life around it. IMO we really need a q raising system that's a lot less about mindless brute force and more about making decisions.

The thing is having to sort through seeds with the current interface is still pretty mind-numbing and more easily done by bots programmed to compare seeds that need planted and run on a specific set of optimal conditions.

If you can not put the time in to play the game then don't play. If you can not live with doing whats within your time then don't play. If you can not keep up without a bot then maybe you should seek out others to help you keep up. Using bots to gain an advantage is also wrong. You don't win by doing so you only cheat another.

Unless it got changed from way back when I tested it takes longer to drink than you gain by sprinting. And of course you got to stop...

Why not suggest massively lowering the stamina drain from farming instead.

How is that solution different to increasing the amount of stuff you harvest (in this case, there is some meaning for the quality grinding)? How is it different to being able to auto-drink while harvesting (in this case, at least, you have to eat a lot and work on food planning for your crafter)?

And bigger cow farms means bigger alt factories if there ever will be any competition and those become needed again.

It does not answer the question, how does the current system prevent people from having more cows right now?

And still botters will ever be on top since they can get stuff done when you're not actually playing, while you sleep while you work while you watch a movie.

If the stuff I have suggested will be implemented, there will be literally smallest difference between botters and non-botters, because botting will be in-game.
Let's be objective there and do not antoganize botting because it sounds "baaad" and "wrooong". Botting is automatizing actions inside of the game. Right now, a lot of the actions in-game are too dull, boring and time-consuming for no reason. Fix that first, then move punishing some hard-core botters who control several characters at the same time.

There is no way to reduce this huge advantage just punish those that do it to instill enough fear in others to lessen the phenomenon but of course never fully

I ironize the fact, that some well-known folk tend to see only one solution to what they hate: ban, punish, wipe. Keep hearing this nazi/racist stuff from them even nowadays (Rawrz and Mainden in IRC were seriously discussing that in IRC + there were more precedents in the past).
