The devs are never gonna read this, and if they did they're never going to try hard enough to understand it, and if they did they're never going to fix it. There's not point doing some tryhard debate to convince them. We're just shitting out opinions out of boredom.

Also, it's correct to basically tell somebody "shut up, retard" without addressing any of their points if they're sufficiently wrong or disingenuous. If somebody's slightly wrong but maybe has something to contribute fair enough, but if they're on the level of robben or greenscape they should not be given the time of day.

Jaded players being more passionate about this game than the devs themselves.
I still like seeing those threads tbh, regardless of the devs never caring, at least some players still do. It's sad that player opinions and feedback get sucked into some endless void, but nevertheless, fun to read.

we basically have the vague useless op with "fix thing" followed by 3-4 of the same faces going "yeah do it" followed by snail saying "Yeah i've said this 1 gorillion times, can we ignore sprucecaps yet?" followed by robben with the "the only patches made cater to basement dwellers", sprinkle in a little bit of alt spam, then a 2 page literary analysis about why someone is wrong (without actually suggesting good ideas) followed by snail's retort of "see? look at this mouthbreather, everything he says is wrong" while explaining nothing about why he's wrong (or if he does he begrudgingly says "i've explained this 100x times, but here's a small bulletpoint summary on why you're a monkey" followed by nameless faces with retarded opinions and actually insane ideas chiming in, all for a game that hasn't had a real update in over a year, whose devs dont even post, and is barely even played by anyone


you guys play any other games yet? do you get tired of following this recipe over and over? im not even on either side anymore im on the side that thinks this game is fundamentally broken and catering to anyone is stupid and everything about combat, pvp, permadeath, base+siege and similar needs to be reworked from the ground up to be good, but its not going to happen so erm why care

the spruces unironically dont even know they're playing the game the most optimal way for enjoyment. unless you really like drama which i guess most of you do

this is an easy fix, by undoing the stupid shit ass siege mechanics that exist now.

it's shrimple, you got the ram, you got the catapult, you wait 24 hours, you push and use them.

I play other games all the time, but unironically there's no real alternative to Haven for me. I'm not sure there ever will be. The game is so niche, and part of the draw is how stupidly complex and arcane some of the systems are. That very fact also likely contributes to how niche the game is.

I think that once Haven eventually dies, which it probably will eventually once Jorb or Loftar completely run out of steam, there may never be a true replacement. The younger generation that have the opportunity to do what Jorb and Loftar did are not going to want to try to make it big on an MMO, and they'll all probably be drooling from brain rot that will come from relying entirely on AI for doing the majority of tasks in their lives.

To your larger point about why I post: Do you think sports fans who talk about team lineups are doing it because they expect the general manager for their favorite football team will read their post and trade for the player that they want to complete the lineup?

I genuinely hope that nobody really expects Jorb and Loftar to read this. There's at least some chance, but I post for fun because I enjoy thinking about a hobby while I'm taking a dump or waiting for a judge to take the bench.
