I'd be very curious to see who the offenders are in your opinion.
Who knows maybe you have what it takes to be a new mod.
That's a tricky proposition, to be sure. My answer would almost certainly offend somebody. But in my opinion, my
opinion shouldn't matter.
It should be easy enough to look at a post, see whether slurs are being used, and if they are, just hide that post. I'm not advocating for literal auto-mod, but it's not exactly rocket science.
People will learn to be respectful if they want their posts read.
But whats wrong with the current system where you can add foes and not see these peoples posts?
The people who can handle seeing such offenses should not be shielded by force.
And if your criteria for hiding a post are as simple as just a "slur" why don't you advocate for a bot to do this job?
Historically people who have done this kind of moderation have been bullied away from the forums.
Most mods these days hold the title just to have a status symbol not to better the community.
A bot could autoadd people that have ever used a slur to your foes list.
I'm not trying to put you in a tricky position with my questioning.
Maybe theres some kind of improvement that could come from this thread that would be acceptable for all.
