Why would you care if there is cheese Bum Burn, Snail? We whooped your ass so good at that siege you've got bum burn for the rest of your life. Doesn't change anything for you.

That said, bum burn fixed pepper botting being an issue. It can do the same for cheese. You aren't gonna be able to change "3 lines of code" to avoid it.

There's this innate urge in me to judge people for being weird or enjoying "dumb" things even if it's not hurting anybody. It seems like a bad urge. The ideal me doesn't judge people for that.

That said, it's rly hard to not think of you as pathetic for being so invested in pretending to have won a fight like a year ago. You're in your like late 30s or early 40s right, so it's not just weird teen angst? What part of that do you even enjoy? The like 3 hermits who read this and maybe believe you but don't care anyway? The faction nerds who don't even care about your opinion but are triggered about you being wrong responding? Is it just attention seeking? idgi

Problems with Bum Burn:

1. You get little to no feedback that you're taking damage - the yellow numbers can be easily missed or not connected to taking HHP damage (also damage tracker is a Custom Client feature.)
2. Damage scales from amount of FEPs - I think someone from my village died to a peppered uber-tier Autumn Steak (something like 100-200 dmg at least from a single bite) this world.
3. People may start collecting Ancient Roots with bots, whoever discovers practical Bum Burn elixir has unfair mostly RNG advantage. (I think there may have been elixir nerfs that make this somewhat less of a concern.)

If the concept has to be applied elsewhere, FIX THESE FIRST. Easiest would be to simply replace HHP damage with a debuff that prevents eating any more peppered food.

Are you sure about that? I'm pretty sure it's based off the amount of wound you already have but i didn't ever notice a difference between different foods.

Edit: Also worth to consider that pepper wound incentivizes autistic behaviors like eating 1-2 foods with pepper at a time and waiting the wound out just to eat it again asap as to not "waste" wound healing, it's similar to how satiations work. Overall the feasting system needs a fix, adding more wounds to shit that's op is just a bandaid and incentivizes botting the eating process.

1. Add some tooltip I guess.
2. Seems fine. Some kids died IRL to that tiktok challenge where you eat that one really spicy chip.
3. Collecting ancient roots to eat more cheese is fine. Bum Burn elixir heals so slowly it's not really an issue.

I haven't sprinkled pepper on a piece of my own food since world 13. It's so useless it may as well not exist, which is good but like, this is the dumbest way I can think of doing it
