As it is (being ganked = sudden demise guaranteed)... not.

What would stop rage-alts from just dropping their shit and clipping the person to shit, partially thanks to not being to able to move while drinking.

Might as well just have it send you to your hearthfire

this thread is further evidence that while they are very useful, custom clients are a cancer on the game.

Not really, it's just evidence that the default client is shit. Game is serverside, why not just implement literally everything useful into the default client instead of stupid client side restrictions like small minimap, having to hover over an item for a second to see what it does, having to hover over an item to see its quality, etc.?

The problem aren't custom clients, they're the solution. The problem is that the default client is useless shit. It's like playing without a monitor and calling having a monitor cheating and cancer. Boohoo excuse me that I want to actually play the game without being fucked by client side restrictions.

Also my game lags terribly and takes a while to load on default client for some reason, so custom clients actually let me play the game. I'd say that custom client creators are actually doing loftorb a favor.

Maybe if you'd bother to read, you'd note the part where i said they are very useful, but then you have shit like auto hearth, aggro & various other gay shit that the public clients don't have and i can't help but consider them to be cancerous to the game and they are definitely the problem in context of this thread.

Also your analogy for playing without a monitor is retarded, its more akin to playing with an aimbot vs playing without, custom clients straight up add advantages over default client, and whether or not those advantages should be in the default client are surely up for debate, but that's not what this thread is about.

Existence of auto hearth and auto aggro are the game mechanics' fault. In games where aimbots can happen (Csgo for example), game is moderated and devs made an elaborate system on banning the cheaters.

In unmoderated games like Haven you can't expect people NOT to use aimbot, which is why you have to make the game a way so aimbots are not useful. This is why loftorb added farming bot and drinking bot into the game itself.

Again, custom clients take the current game mechanics as they are, and let you do everything with them. Using default client means you're restricting yourself. It's just like playing without a monitor.

Starting combat has a short agro distance and requires line of sight. You have to notice the player, turn your camera/scan the screen and then determine if you want to fight or flee. Once you've decided that, there is still time needed to close the gap between yourself and the person

Autologout requires a ticked check box; no investment or thought

Closing a 40 tile gap to stop a person from automatically logging out the second you render in is just not realistic. Unless you have a horse and just happened to be going in their direction to begin with (or if you log in right beside them), you're just not going to be able to do it

It's a get out of jail free card and it's broken

I don't get the custom client thing, you can just run away from the person until you decide whether or not they're a threat and just log out manually.

Custom client autologout on render increases the chances to escape significantly
