If you make all Gates, Vgates and only allow people to enter them if they are not in combat with players then nobody can escape behind their palisades and you could literally prevent people from ever returning to their palisade.

Like if I were better at running than some 500 statter i could aggro them and then run and eternally lock them out of their palisade until I get bored.

Likewise noobs retreating behind palisades s a huge pvp saver for the shitters.

I literally have built palisades with the double gate house setup as outposts to escape too when I am out on long voyages and I have seen other outposts that are just gates with a house.

Yeah, tbh, like, why is it again that you can't go through a vgate when in combat? What's the reasoning behind that?

Theres still ways to vgate while in combat, devs dont fix nothing

with utmost honesty, as a person who actually kills the shit out of people i say - you can't do shit to a person in this situation, other than stabbing them and dying again probably

yea im ngl i used to kinda hate it when you all would completely discard other people's opinions so quickly but i kinda get why you do it. while some of these people have the opinions of a neanderthal, not everyone does. (arguably thats because of the fetish for complexity i mentioned earlier tho) but this is why i don't even bother to comment on stuff like siege - i don't know what dumb strategies people use to circumvent the intention of the systems, but they probably do and so the system doesnt work as intended

still y'all should realize 90% of your opinions are based on really autistic knowledge of the game that most people don't have properly memorized. like the audience of this game is probably like complete newbies/middle vets/autistic vets and i'd like to imagine most of the consistent playerbase is in the middle - yeah i know i can use wolves day 1 to kill 90% of wildlife with little-no risk, but god damn is the spitroast thing stupid and wowie does it drastically alter starting points. doesn't mean i'll do it but yea

and even having that much knowledge doesn't rlly make your solutions more viable, but god do people make some stupid arguments

yeah personally i wouldn't have a problem with people not knowing things but this is Critique & Ideas we're talking about, if someone clearly hasn't interacted with a mechanic/didn't experience a situation, why would they state their """opinion""" with that much confidence, really puzzling tbh - anyway - the devs, not knowing who is right who is not will just listen to both even though one is a literal fetus when it comes to HnH experience

people like this should be in the "How do I" section instead, methinks

There were two parts to what I said

"But, what if the village has mats sitting around for a few catapults or you know just waits around till everyone logs in?"

See the 'or' there in the middle. 20 minutes is fine either way...whether there is a siege on OR not, OR whether you can use a catapult OR not.
