But if you're flagged it doesn't work. What's the big deal? It really just comes off as way to kill peacefool farmers.
“We still, alas, cannot forestall it-
This dreadful ailment's heavy toll;
The spleen is what the English call it,
We call it simply, Russian soul.”

An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.

Good news then. Well, depending on perspective.

Yeah it would be awesome if some good soul would make a custom client that only improves controls, etc... totally respectfull of the game design but that will never happen.
The only ones who can make a good client are devs, being the creators of the game....this is why we need to aim to make suggestion while trying to improve the default client instead of exploiting with ugly customs.
Default client is way better than it was...and it's very playble right now, so play with it and make suggestion about it....but not to make the game easier, only to make it more enjoyable.

Well in a game where big factions have their own little bot programmer to make funny little clients for them to rape other player and factions... i think an autologout or autohearth is the least of the problems...
Sure for the big guys its annoying when their spruce cap target, who lives as hermit or with 3 friends together and has nothing just logs off or ports away...
but whats on the other side for these guys? autoaggro horseriders with whatever they have in their clients.
also you dont need any autofunktion when you just have Tp on macro or so...
Still i can understand that many smaller player use it. Can get annyong if your char dies the 25th time to an auto-aggro guy
also will probably make it so that many player who are/maybe interested in this game just say "fuck it"
For me the costum clients are mostly for a better map, lagfree playing and so on. Normaly i just keep my distance to unknown players see on my minimap if they just come straigh at me or not while i move away
Still... the autohearth autologout stuff is not the real problem and i think jorb would have get rid of it already if it was the real problem...
I see it more like a very ineffective medicine to the special "aim bot" client player to at least minimize the damage they do to the game.

Did some testing with this today. Getting hit by a melee attack doesn't actually stop the logout, you have to actually take damage. The first hit will never do damage, even with 100 UA VS 1. So you have to get to them, as well as hit them twice before they logout. I guess all those people who wanted optional pvp got their wish ¦]

It's not a bug, it's an undocumented feature!

Custom clients can automatically start the logout timer upon seeing an unkinned player and from what I'm told, the logout can only be aborted by hitting the person in melee. It's unlikely that you can actually close a 40 tile gap in time to cancel their logout so it's basically a get-out-of-jail-free card
