Absolutely not true

top 5 non-creative servers rn

top 5 creative

Not exactly the most scientific approach, but if anything it's skewed super in favor of creative being over-represented considering there's like 7 billion non-creative servers for every creative one. Either way, 5550 vs. 137.

Well, yeah when it comes to servers that might be true. What would be the reason for me to join a server if I want to play creative when I can just launch it in singleplayer?

In the end it does not have anything to do with haven anyways, since no one asked for a creative mode in haven, but a PVE world which is a huge difference.
When it comes to Minecraft PvP, it is almost always very limited, most servers that I have seen you have your base completely invulnerable, for many of the big servers your base is in a separate map instance where no one but you can enter.
Are you sure you are picking right example?

Non-creative minecraft has threats/challenges outside of PVP. Haven does not.

If you @me about the """threat""" of bears or your theoretical version of the game in the non-existent future where they add challenges I will shit my pants.

You're only even trying to dissect like 1/1,000 reasons PVP motivates people to play even if they don't want to engage in PVP themselves.

Of course haven has threats and challenges outside PVP, wtf? People are dying even to ants. It might not be very challenging to ppl that are playing for years and use every possible cheese to gain advantage, but still.
Good example for haven would be dungeons. Of course you don't have to enter it, but if you are looking for a challenge it's already in the game.

I never said that PVP does not motivate players to play the game, not all of them, but it definitively does.
I do agree that creating a PVE server would be a terrible idea, but for different reasons.

Bro... stop... cherrypicking.
Obviously ants on their own won't keep anyone plaing for a long period, sam as minecraft zombies won't.

How about a challange of building a well functioning village?

Chiming in super late to this, no idea why you felt the need to try and call me out for no reason but alright then, fwiw, yes I wanted to join a more active PVP group this world, which I ended up not doing largely because reset was at a terrible time for me with IRL commitments to be able to no-life the game like I usually do at world starts.

However, the whole "your entire group came demanding seige being removed" is completely false, we came to the forum to complain about your absolutely blatant bot abuse spamming hundreds of the signs around a wreckingball. That was the issue we were mad about because it was fucking cancerous. That and the constant unwarranted directed abuse to some of our villagers for absolutely no reason.

There's seige and pvp in the fun of the game, and then there's your level of toxic behaviour. The latter is simply not healthy for any game/community.

Wasn't being facetious when I said I wasn't calling you out and it's normal to have a bad take about something you're emotionally invested in. I was pointing out it's bad that Jorbtar can't distinguish when people are unreasonable/emotional and making changes that affect everybody to accommodate them.

It took you guys 5 minutes or so to peel back some signs and disassemble the wreckingball. It was not some OP strategy. It took you guys maybe 5 minutes to peel away some signs and disassemble the Wball while we were actively trying to stop you.

Contrast that with the fastest way to kill a ram being to hit it with 5 archery towers at once taking 60+ minutes at minimum, and even then the chance of it getting 1 tapped being 1/1,048,576. Everybody knew about the of blocking the sign strategy for years, but nobody used it because it was an ineffective meme during every period that had actual siege. If you are against siege that is that easily defendable you don't want siege, period.

Even if your angle is just that it was unintended/meme-y instead of OP, you were directly involved with and seemed to enjoy our realm shenanigans during W12 which were even more unintended/meme-y.

You would still be expressing earnest opinions if they weren't so bad everybody laughing at you made you insecure
