Things you would like to see changed before the new world.

Thoughts on the further development of Haven & Hearth? Feel free to opine!

I personally want water terraforming. Like ability to make shallow water bodies if dig below certain level. Could be higher on mountains and lower on plains and next to existing water bodies.
It shouldn't be possible (or should be really hard like using lots of exp and resourses) to change it back to land otherwise rivers would be closed.

In case it's way easier to create than to remove it'll be exploited for griefing.

I dont know if this was mentioned before but it would be awesome imo that the next world gen takes a page from rimworld and generates massive regions of different weather and make this like an actual world then a slice of it. for example a map size similar to world 8 but massive regions like:
the north and south completely snow covered
throw in some big oceans here and there with islands spread through out (classed as islands so you cant make vaults but still live on them)
swamps that can be as big as a supergrid
center mainly temperate to encourage most people to live in the Goldilocks zone
Deserts with unique uses and fauna
mountains large enough for volcanoes.
etc

I feel something like this would make this a world with more depth then feeling like a walking simulator at times also would give people like me who like to explore or those into the nomad life a new aspect to enjoy, or people who want a challenge to survive in the inhospitable regions like deserts oceans snow.

I thought closing rivers could be used for griefing, but making them by digging tons of soil idk
Maybe both should be really hard and like a large task for the whole kingdom. On the other hand I just wanted to make a pond in my base

Updated OP

added request for darkness/cave disincentives in order to prevent random naked alts running through caves stealing all the localized resources and mining in the dark
added request for diagonal walls so future world might have some base diversity beyond squares and rectangles

noted that spitroast bone ash has been fixed!

Stickying this for now after jorb's comment storm so people can easily find it again if they have any further comments.

Hello everyone,
My first post on the forum, usually I prefer to read and it is rare that a suggestion that I have not already been formulated ...
However after a brief search, I did not find anything that fits my idea, however I apologize if this has already been mentioned.
* Everything destroyed should give some of the resources that made it possible to build it *
I think that would allow for some coveted resources to be obtained differently ...

(Sorry for my english)

Best regards

See the 2018 Roadmap post: viewtopic.php?f=39&t=59589 Jorb does mention seasons as something they'd like to try to do.

It has come up, but it's been a while since I've seen it. I think it was under recycling or dismantling structures or such. Would be nice to see, especially if you built a house and you decide you don't like the way it looks or it's not in quite the right position.
