When you put a time limit on a game that takes up a lot of time to play, eventually there will be a huge split in the progress the players who pay to play and the players who don't pay. For example if you give players 2 days vs 31 days there will be a lot more progress made in those players who play longer, which will make a permadeath game like this user unfriendly to new players. If you really want people to pay for your game then make the game about 5-15 dollars for a purchase, as in they own a copy of a game. That way everyone has a fair chance at least possibly go up against people who would have originally paid for the game. Because currently this one game alone costs more than a month of xbox live where you could get as many games as you want if you already own them.

I agree, it'd make a lot more sense to make it a one time fee to play and a lot of cosmetics at low prices.
- Most people will stop playing altogether if there aren't enough players.
- Many poor people play H&H.
- The one time fee & cosmetic items is still good for supporting the game and helping with the botting problem.
- if you keep the tokens in and free trial time, it still allows people a chance at getting the one time fee paid if they can't afford it.
If they change subscription to one time fee, I'm assuming the player count may go up past the 2,000s.
- If you decide to take this idea, it'd be wise to post a large announcement about it on the homepage so that people see it.
- I'd also assume that if you post a developer blog about what you plan to add in the game feature wise, it will entice more players to pay for the game.
- You can turn people's months/years long subscriptions into tokens or other items if you decide to make this change so everything is fair.
- Allow people to use tokens to buy cosmetic items also.
