Interface

Maybe Im missing a easy way to do this but I would like to have a once click option back to main options instead of clicking back all the time. Please tell me Ive just missed an obvious way. If not Jorb & Loftar please add to list.

I know its not a mouse-click, but do the keyboard shortcuts still work?

I can't check right now to make sure, but I think I remember the escape key navigating back to the main options interface.

To go back a single page it's CTRL+H

Yea, but a single button to be guaranteed at top of the menu is a good plan since the menu is deeper than in legacy, so to be sure you have to tap ^H several times. One ^<key> to be at top.

While at it:

@Loftar: would it be possible to expose the key mapping so the user can rebind it to something he likes? Ideas:

GUI interface
Code: Select all
Faster      [ unbind ]  [ CTRL+ R ]  <== click here to get a 'press the key combination you want for this function'
Slower      [ unbind ]  [ CTRL + SHIFT + R ]
...

or 'Extended Options' giving a text editor for an INI style file:
Code: Select all
Speed.Faster=CTRL+R
Speed.Slower=CTRL+SHIFT+R
Speed.Crawl=F1    <== stuff that would be nice in case we could map it
UI.Hide.Toggle=   <== unset, so one can disable stuff that is annoying

where you can either edit, or just past in something copied from the 'net, a syntax check before save would be helpful...

Then we would be able to map the keyboard as we like...

Not sure how much it helps you, but it works such that if you click the options with your mouse, the menu stays where it is, whereas if you use keyboard shortcuts to activate an option, it goes back to the root menu. The idea being that if you're clicking on the buttons, you're likely exploring the the menu and therefore it stays where it is, whereas if you use keyboard shortcuts you're more likely using options you already know.

Also, pressing Esc takes you back to the root menu (unless there's a window focused that it closes instead).

I'm sure it would be possible, but right now there's no common infrastructure to identify commands to be bound or rebound.
