Hunting Companion Ex.K9

As the title suggests I was thinking hunters could use a companion.. what this companion is well I would go easy route and say taming a fox or something could yield and K9 or if the devs plan to add in wolves again make them tamable now what I was thinking could happen is the said companion could sniff out animals that had "run" from being weakened or even help in the attack and just attack them(this could be toggled like swimming) and there use could even extend so far as to have them guard when not online making greifers think twice before raiding a village or said settlement once it is advanced enough. to balance this out I was thinking that the companion would have a set patrol route when guarding and that the companion gets tired rather easily or you can make it hard to tame . Now as to whether this should be a tank like aurochs or an attack like boars. I have no idea tis just an idea and hopefully one that gets attention others feel free to add, comment, dislike

I'd really like to tame a bat to hunt with me. I am scared of getting close to them, but if I could sick a bat swarm on a bear it'd be totally worth it.
