Drug Suggestions, Hash and Opium

I'd like the ability to make opium to smoke from poppy seeds. As you can do with some strains of poppy in real life, it could be used as a pain-killer to aid in the healing of certain wounds. Perhapes aid in the healing of bruises and blunt force wounds, a bit unrealistic but makes more sense than say, putting a bandage on a bruise.

That and we need more things to get stoned off of. Maybe it could also give you some damage resistance, or boosted con?

basically I just want an excuse to charge into battle smoking my pipe full of drugs.

I agree, but opium isn't produced from seeds per se, but rather from latex from the seed pod. This is basically why nothing is in yet. Not sure how to add it in a good way.

Hum, when I am home I shall research how to make opium when I get home (and hope the police don't bust my door down hah) but perhaps use the press from winemaking to crush 'pods' or even the flowers as an abstraction that you get as a by-product. The crushed poppies then make a slurry which goes into another refinery vessel that extracts the opium over time via precipitation (pretty sure the latex wouldn't be water soluble so maybe you'd need a liquor like wine, or vinegar to get it out.) which could then be baked down in an oven into a solid opium 'dose'.

That way it's a pretty late game item like say cheese, and would be relatively rare/costly for what it does. Potentially needing 20-30 poppy tiles per dose?

add crafting item "sharp knife" or somesuch thing and when you harvest poppy with it have containor in inventory that collects poppy latex instead of harvesting , maybe doing this multiple times or one time ruins plant and gain seed or no seed ?

take latex add with some other item maybe "burnt bone" or "ash" to form smokeable opium just an idea

Oh yeah... that'd make more sense. What I described was more how you make hashesh from marijuana heh

Speaking of which ... hash when as hunger-reduced that can be cooked into baked goods?

Another potential suggestion: Cocaine from cocoa plants? In some biomes there's a foragable that gives you a seed to plant a cocao tree, and that would in turn grow cocoa pods which could be used to make both cocaine and chocolate?

Coffee trees as well, stamina restorer alternative to tea? Maybe make a latte type food when combined with milk?
