I'm genuinely curious what those slots are for. I can't seem to fit anything into them even.

Same here, been bothering me for a while. And just now I thought "hey! I bet I can heat my cold food there!" and then " oh =("

Philosophically, maybe, but we want to do things with them. Roasting chestnuts, &c w/e. They will get uses.

Re-heating cold meat actually does make sense to me. And would be useful as I think there's a bonus for food if it's still hot I believe.

Have you actually tried it IRL? It's nowhere near as good as freshly roasted meat.
