Where is any trading system?

Postby tableman » Mon Sep 14, 2015 2:24 pm

L&J you guys try to charge 10$ per month for a game that dont even have legit trading system or ability to group with friends, not even telling about tons of other shit and lags. And if you want to make some very time consuming system with roads then how do you expect FTP players to use it with 7 hours per week?

How hermit-farmer with 7 hours per week is able to constantly sell his products to various people around the world when sole traveling time will be like 3 hours per day? Not telling that he also needs time to make his products and manage things. :|

Food is a constant demand due to it being used to empower fighters. Roads aren't hard to put up, but the current roads are too fragile to be worth public efforts. Devs have promised new types (eventually?) so public roads are probably waiting on that.

But otherwise: everyone chose how far apart to live. If we chose to walk further apart, trading being a pain is a result of that choice.

The idea of selling simple products to people around the world is kinda ridiculous. To justify the time investment for a long distance trade the perceived profit from that trade has to be huge. Otherwise most of your trades will be between other players within a reasonable distance of you that you can establish roads with. Even at this point no one really needs simple food products from other players unless it's in such a bulk that you probably can't provide it yet.

I'm afraid you'll have to get to known your neighbors if you want to trade. If you don't have any neighbors then you clearly went out of your way to live in solitude, so enjoy it. =)

If that is how it will appear that will be the reason i stop trying to play even for free. :| Like wtf my neighbours are some noobs that dont need anything and wont ever buy food in ~bulk. :| :|

That road idea is making ability to trade so condition dependant, yes trading should involve some effort but not constant pain or shit like "nessesity to be close to big city" ty to guess how many players you will loose when they realise that building lovely hermitage somewhere in the middle of ass they cut themself to total loneliness.

Nothign offence or something just feedbacking the sole reason why im tilting to zone of quiting game barely started (not a newb, was a former bulk producer in past before i took an arrow in my knee), hope it will be helpfull.

Then you'll need to wait for the development of the world a bit. Players need time to establish dominance in regions and setup the necessary political treaties to ensure safe road connections that you can take advantage of. Constantinople wasn't built in a day.

If that is how it will appear that will be the reason i stop trying to play even for free. :|

That is your choice to make, yes.

Do not buy into the game if you have specific expectations on mechanics without first investigating the presence or absence of those mechanics. The game is offered as is, not as what you think it might be.

I do not know what you expect from a "trading system", but it is perfectly possible to trade goods with other players in the game, if you so desire. There is certainly no formal system for that, nor will there be.

Roads arent viable for trading. Setting them up is pain in the ass. Especially when people dont really live like close to each other.. And bigger roads get, more chances of raider finding way to you place or just blocking it are. If anyone has any questions about trading, roads are now answer. Except if your friend lives 15 minutes walk from your home then you can maybe make road.

I expected same system as it was before, everyone was happy with it, nothing bad was happening. Would be cool if it would be modified to make it more realistik like timed traveling to door by legs or using wagon\horse without any roads but using some consumables like wine or anything else.

Like you travel to customer door by legs and using bad Q wine and it takes 10 hours offline. Or when you travel with wagon\horse and good Q wine it takes 30 minutes. I can imagine Ramones writing notes on his desk with exact times when traders will arrive for exchange, that would be soo coool...

I expected something like that. Something that anyone can afford to use, not the road system that every hermit will have to wait till the end of the world.

Yes with current setup maybe i can make an alt for extra 7 hours per week just to travel and sell things but thats exploiting and i had enough of that. Was hoping you guys finally make something smooth after years of us suffering using your weird mechanics.

Nothing offence.
