Carts should be liftable when empty.

Kind of frustrating needing to abandon carts when crossing shallow rivers, and building a new one on the other side. I'm totally cool with unloading everything and hauling it across the river, but constructing a new cart is a major delay.

I mean, you can get most or all of the materials for a cart out of a single log, and those are liftable. Makes sense that an empty cart would weigh about the same.

May consider. Thanks.

I'm necro-ing this because I still have a strong opinion on the matter and I think it was forgotten about.

They're less material intensive than boats, and those are liftable even with stuff in them. C'mon.

+1 for all those lonely carts abandoned at shallow fords.

Why can't we just have it that they can cross shallow water in the same way wagons can? No need to even empty them then.

Heretic.

Honestly, that'd be nice, but I wish they'd add shallow water animations for them. Then again, that'd mean everything else shallow capable requires a new animation and model adjustments.

Shallow animation for everything would be very simple: slow down 1-2 levels and draw the object a bit further down.

On topic: being able to lift them when empty would be welcome QoL but wouldn't make sense from a realism standpoint, enabling them to cross shallows should be added.

Yeah, makes no sense they can't cross shallows when wagons can.
