Stacking wounds/bandages

Do I seriously have to use a whole gauze to heal 2 damage?
It seems that smaller wounds should require a smaller bandage, and larger wounds a larger bandage.

Each wool could yeild 1kg of gauze, medium wounds take that ammount, smaller woulds 0.1 - 0.2kg, and larger woulds (100+ hp) should take a few kg.

Also some wounds should stack.

Pretty sure that Jorb's mentioned the wound system being a sort of halfway stage for the moment and that wounds will eventually have some sort of progression system, including wounds worsening, like they were originally meant to if you take the text from Wretched Gore seriously. Hopefully the final implementation will avoid being fiddly to the point of requiring a new gauze for each tiny wound, but it wouldn't be the only thing I can think of in Haven which is perhaps unnecessarily fiddly, but if we're talking realism, even with tiny cuts you're better off covering them if you want a quick recovery and a much lower chance of infection.

Some wounds do stack, deep cuts are just meant to be annoying. You can ignore it, it's not like 2 hhp is going to make a difference in almost any fights whether pvp or pve.

Clearly has never carried a gg branch.

Yes, but 2 + 3 + 5 + 4 + 2 (16) will

There are poultices.

You can just spam poultices and spend a day safely, and remove them all.

Thats what I'm actually doing right now.

its grindy tho.

would be nice if easier to way to heal 10x -2 hp wounds than gather 30 nettles, 10 hides and 20 string. when a single gauze can heal a -30 hp wound.

cost of healing a would should be proportional to how much HHP that individual wound reduces, ideally.
