Fish in a barrel - Fish Stockpiles

I was just thinking that in medieval times, it was common to keep a barrel/bucket of live fish in the kitchens to preserve them. As food preservation is due to become a thing, I think this would be an excellent method of fish storage. Fish could either be stored as a type (Pike Barrels) or in general (Fish Barrel).

This sounds pretty solid to me. At least it makes more sense than throwing a bunch of fish into a pile on the floor.

Jorb was talking about smoking/salting/jam preserves/etc being a thing, along with food decay as definitely being in and something they were working on.
