Fishing

Why does this suck balls? I feel like I'm trying to play a text biased adventure game, this is not fun. Why can't we just have it work like combat does, but with fish moves? so far this choice wheel does not feel more active to me, plus having it work like combat could create clear agi barriers in the fish you can tackle, because your able to tire them out without letting them snap your line or steal your hook. this could let some players become king of fishing, and make it less teribad with the proper rod.

Personally I think they should take a look at Fantasy Life's fishing. It's a proper minigame, somewhat like you suggest.

It's a pretty challenging game of memory and a touch of guesswork. The only issue I have is that, at least as far as I've ever seen, the fish caught don't reflect the effort input.

I've been bugging jorb for a hotkey UI so I can fiddle with it more. Jorb is rather fond of philosofishing though, so don't expect it to change :P

Whether or not Jorb is fond of it doesn't make it fun or rewarding. It is kind of telling when I enjoy bait fishing more. Even if it is not changed to something more interesting like the OP suggests it at least needs more feedback, cause atm it is just boring at best and a waste of time and resources at worst.
