Tech Tree

Are there currently any plans for a Tech Tree to be viewable in game? More-so for new players because without my friend I would be rather confused when playing this.
It would be nice if it worked like civilization's tech trees: Image

It would be nice if skills were visible in some menu and explicitly mentioned prerequisites.

+1 to this I think a civ styled tech tree would be nice with explanations for each one.

We talked about this a number of times in the past.
The best style we had in mind was a smaller tree that only showed the skills used to unlock the skill, the skill you ckicked on and then the skills that skill unlocks.

No scroll bar just clicking.

That's a nice representation of it. I searched the forums but couldn't find anything from this year so I made this thread.

Some custom client maker could do that.
Just add an icon : "help", and a local folder "help".
Icon open a window with the first page in the help folder.
Each page got hyperlinks to other pages, other people could make content to put in "help" folder if the client maker give the syntax rules to make pages.

Until it becomes a thing in the actual game a custom client would suffice yeah.

You know what my problem with that is? You have a whole screen to render a nice wide large skill tree on, and people want to choose for this minimal UI system with a frustrating amount of clicks.

The same goes for the character sheet by the way.
