Animal Reincarnation

Postby DaniAngione » Thu Oct 08, 2015 4:20 pm

Ok, this is a silly and useless suggestion, but I find it funny
So, we need 100k LP + 50 INT to go to Valhalla, right?

Maybe (just as a little treat for those that can't go) we could come back once as an animal :D
Something like...

10 INT > Bunny
11-20 INT > Fox
21-30 INT > Badger
31-40 INT > Boar
41-49 INT > Bear

Location would be completely random and there would be no way for players to identify someone playing as an animal and an actual AI animal.
Just for the lulz :P

i thought of something like that and i think it'd be cool.
but i don't know if that would work and would probably require more thought put into it.

It would be aboosed. Think about it. Mass producing of 50 int and 100 000 lp alts isnt that hard. Armies of bears would go around.

except that with 50 int and 100k LP you go to Valhalla, not reincarnate as an animal.

If you consider that a bear can't travel by boat, can't invite/be in party (to locate others) and would respawn anywhere in the world, I suppose it would hardly be abused :P

I'd go on mass bear rampages.

It's a cute idea, and I like it, but I don't see a good way to implement it.

Yeah, I like I said... it's about being silly :P

Maybe if it was limited to small critters or peaceful animals it could be more entertaining (so it couldn't be exploited and we could experience life from another perspective, get food, flee from predators, etc...

Imagine a bear. Imagine yourself running away from it. Still dangerous, but easy to avoid if you're paying attention.

Now imagine a bear. It runs toward you before you even see it. It chases you and you can't outrun it. It knocks you out, and then runs circles around your ruined body right before brutally murdering you. This happens 50 times before someone kills it with one shot from a previously unequipped sword.
Come back two hours earlier.

maybe people could reincarnate just as rabbits or other harmless (or almost) animals
forget about the bear part.

or maybe that could all happen in Valhalla.

edit: or reincarnated animals could only attack if they get aggroed by a player first, so all they can do is walk around and scare the shit out of others. even though i can still see this being abused. best way would probably be harmless animals.

Cute idea, less so with boars and bears.
