Multiple piglets per litter

Postby Potjeh » Fri Oct 09, 2015 6:23 pm

A sow giving birth to just one piglet is practically unheard of IRL. But the more important thing is that it'd be good balance-wise. Cows and sheep both give milk and suckling maws, and sheep give wool, all in addition to giving meat. Pigs only have meat, so they feel a bit underwhelming. Multiple piglets would at least make them the best at the only thing they do. I guess you could also implement lard to buff pigs, but if I had to choose just one of the two I'd go with multiple piglets.

Technically speaking, didn't pigs get a crazy possible modifier per generation on meat quantity? To the point that they used to become ridiculous meat fountains late game?

Which hopefully has been tuned down, because it was ridiculous.

In legacy pigs had better dependence on quantity levels. That means that pig with 100 meat quantity gives mutch more meat that cow or sheep.
