Visitor buff - Authority Object

I'm not sure if I'm the only one that thinks this way, but it would make more sense that this new mechanic would only activate by building a new authority object for village or personal claims. To this extent it would not alter the daily life for most individuals / groups, unless they decided to construct such an object.

The added effect of this would be that people are generally looking for more aesthetic features to add to their homesteads it makes this a perfect opportunity to make something with a basic functionality along with being nice to look at. Something people could equally decorate as they do with the Village Idol.

It could be constructed with Dreams, to make it tie in with the spirituality / magic of the game, to explain why the claim is further protected from visitors.

no, it wouldn't make more sense. if you don't like the mechanic, simply don't leave your gates open.

It wasn't that I dislike the mechanic, but because I had seen so many others who currently do dislike it while I was reading the update announcement.

I have no intention of leaving my gates open regardless, as even though I find the system to be a decent idea I don't currently trust the system / other players enough to want to play with it.

Also, as far as the roundpoles go, I had thought that would be nice too. The only problem there would be if your wall does happen to be broken, the round poles can then just be broken by hand.
