Bonfire...burn all the things

Would be nice to have a fire source that will last for a VERY long time. A fireplace, with its burn time + "hot" status gives a few hours of fire, but I am talking about something that will burn and smolder for days. So annoying is the need to use a firebrand, I'd be willing to feed a bonfire full stockpiles of logs or coal to be able to have a fire source that I don't have to relight every night.
