Shield = pay to win ?

Thoughts on the further development of Haven & Hearth? Feel free to opine!

Shield = pay to win ?

I see now that shields need a image sketch to craft. Seeing the combat meta switching to MC from UA, isn't it a little pay-to-win? I mean wouldn't it be fair to be able to craft a shield with only leather and boards, and the sketch be optional (aesthetic) only?

Shoulds do not require a sketch to craft, it's purely optional.

Sketches should be applied after the shield is made, anyway. If you wanted to apply one, now you have to make a new shield. Not that they're hard to make, but making a new shield every time you feel like painting it...
