Tiny Abacus softcap

Str and smithing? Really? I think it would be more like carpentry and int..
You dont need much str to put little tin and iron nuggets in little wooden thingy.
Abacuses are made with intelligence and not strength thats how it should be.

Made from metal. Not a bug.

Glasses require perception instead of strength.

Why can't abacci be dexterity and smithing?

(Even if, arguably, they are carpentry. They are not made at an anvil, so not smithing)

Also this thread should be in C&I

If you want to get technical, you have to make metal beads and rods at the anvil. I don't recall it requiring string (though one could argue that wooden dowels are used). If anything, that should get changed. Can we just be thankful for the nice things we have?

Sure, the first one was designed by someone more intelligent than others, but they were made later by those who had the strength to work the forge and craft the framework. Thus, probably should be a DEX cap in there, too, rather than INT. After all, can't a two to three year old be taught to string beads, and a four year old to count to ten?

Yeah, never was a bug issue here, but a request to change current mechanics. Moved.

Making iron into rods and tin into beads is where the skill lies in abacus making, the boards are just there to hold the metal in place. Dex*Smithing would make sense, since the work is delicate, but carpentry shouldn't be involved.

Is this really important at all... Who cares how realistic a crafting recipe and the involved skills are.
