Haven Statistics

Greetings J&LO

I would like to propose that you provide statistical information of the game that updates every day in it's own part of the website. havenandhearth.com/stats
If this would be too much of a burden for you, then I suggest just having weekly stats that is updated every Sunday or Monday.

The main purpose of these stats would be to give us players some insight in what is actually going on in-game, such as:

[*] Amount of unique account logins during the week, preferably a cool graphical chart.

[*] Foods crafted, and preferably if you could specify which food that was made under that total amount. For example; carrots XXXX, pie XXXX etc..

[*] Kills, branching into animal kills and player kills. Where as the animal kills would specify X amount of foxes, boars etc..

[*] Crafted items and gear

[*] Ore that has been mined

[*] Crops that has been planted

[*] LP gained from curios & discoveries

And much more I just probably didn't think about.

You may feel some things in the list may not either be possible to list because of no statistical information available, or simply because you might not want to give out those specific stats.
I hope you give this a good think. It would be awesome to see some of these stats every week.

If any member of the community has some more input regarding this, please raise your voice!

Is this really necessary? Sure it would be nice and stuff, but I think the devs have more important stuff to work on before that.

That said I think this could be added after the future kingdoms update, including information about the amount of land controled by each faction and the population of the kingdom, maybe some measure of overall kingdom power?

IMO, yes it is necessary to provide statistical information to the playerbase, so we can see activity more in-depth.
I don't know how well Loftar does his programming, but I do know that he can very easily implement data collection. This should be a few hours work at most. Considering how long they have been developing HnH, I would assume they already have statistics they can see, but this is just speculation ofcourse.

I agree on the kingdom stats though, would be pretty cool to see how powerful a kingdom is in size. Maybe a piechart displaying overall power of each kingdom with different colors.

Stats in general would be kinda cool,

Alao maybe a lmost like a high score sheet

Most pks
Most murder kills
Most lp studied
Most fish caught
Highest dmg dealt
Most food eaten
Highest cliff climbed
Longest boat ride
Etc

All useless ofc but still "content" per say.

Could maybe even rope those high scores into *cough* titles.

Longest boat ride. Captain
Most food eaten. Glutton etc

Jorb And loftar could just publish rare data ( if its unreadable format give small explanation )
And let players make charts and cool presenting forms if they want.

As a general thing, I'm not too fond of global knowledge about the game world (which is also why there's no global chat, for instance). If, for example, the "max quality currently on the server" were published, then you'd know for sure if your equipment is top-notch or whether there are other people far in advance of you.

I think it's more fun if you can never be sure whether there are people who're much better than yourself.

If anything, I would think it more fun to present statistics about, for instance, your own characters (pieces of ore mined, number of curiosities studied, or whatever), and I may add such in the future; but I'm less fond of global stats.
