I wonder if it would be possible, when placing buildings, that the placeholder image of the building could reflect the materials in stockpiles adjacent to the build site.
i.e. A proper preview of what the building would look like taking into account the materials adjacent to it?
Would solve people getting rather surprised with how ugly they can make their mansions. Not sure how the preview would handle any materials missing from the stockpiles, perhaps back to the default for those, or what it would do if too many materials were adjacent, I guess just choose at random.
