Holdable baskets

Postby linkfanpc » Thu Dec 10, 2015 12:52 am

Just a thought. Make it so we can craft holdable wicker and birch baskets. They take up either hand slot and give a very small amount of extra inventory space. Would be a travelers sack for a noob.
Total misplay.

That'd be cool if it filled the equivalent of a one row Tsack. By no means does it make travellers sacks not worth investing in, but it would be a nice quality of life bonus for a beginner.

It would be neat if holdable birch baskets gave 1 row, it would speed up the early game foraging a bit.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Hemp baskets ect... they work like a container but must be held to be used. Make a wooden basket, and all.

Two basket variations. One gives a row, another gives a column.

Why stop there? We can easily squeeze in another row with a belly pouch.

Think of the possibilities!

Maybe give baskets specialty that you can go walk speed even if you lift them.

This idea i like the best. Birch, wicker, straw, all giving a small 2-5 extra space.
