Mineholes on cellar

It would be col. You could build minehole in cellar so it would be hidden. AND it would go straight to layer 2. Skipping first one where caveholes and other stuff lead you to. This way it would be safer to build one as people wouldnt see them without digging to layer 2 below your village.

If that was the case, then none would build it on the surface :(
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

I think this level of crazy was actually possible in some of the earliest worlds.

yeah i had a cabin in world 1 with like 3 recursive cabin -> cellar -> mine

but that was also when each mine was a pocket universe
