signs on walls

sorry if this was suggested before,ilooked but didnt find anything. i tried to put a written sign on a wall in a house, found out i couldnt. but i still want to.

i simply wanna label the floors of my stone tower. lemme put a written sign on a wall, when ya right click it it displays the text as usual but with a "Take" button below the text for lifting the sign.
