Lore justification for labor alts and bots(Golems? Thralls?)

Now this might just sound like i'm asking for you to add botting into the game, but I'm not. this is only just a small amount of automation.
Instead of making a new alt and navigating it to your base (or spawning it at a HF), you should be able to either create a thrall, a kind of slave, or a golem, an automated-ish worker machine.
Now, I know this might be TOO magic for the hearthlands, but I think its equally as magic as green ever-burning fire, mind-controlling an army of naked people (alts), trolls, etc.
So, if we go with thralls, you might need to create a body for them, or have a villager sacrifice theirs. So you'd need meat, bones and a skin. Or a corpse. After getting a mad expensive skill, you could turn it into a thrall with lots of dreams.
If we go with golems, you could, using different materials, create different types of golems for different tasks. Wood golems for chopping, dirt golems for digging and piling up dirt, stone for mining, etc.

For either, you would first have to log out of your character to control them. However, the upside to all these downsides is that you can queue up commands. Chop that tree, then remove the stump. Pick the blocks, stack them here. Move the logs here. Then do the same for that tree. Then that one, then that one. You may then say that they can either starve, or path to a designated area with food and eat. Golems and thralls would be very easy to kill, and unable to fight back. But, you should be able to, to an extent, program them. Give them a few small conditionals, and other stuff. Make it block-based programming like in Scratch.

I dunno, this might not be very good but I'm sure Jorb and Lorb could weave it into something that works.

edit: maybe you wouldn't have to log out of your old character, but while you're queueing up commands for a slave you would lose control of your main. then, once you're done, you can re-enter your main while the slave does shit by itself
remember, do anything you can to this idea to make it usable, if possible. it doesn't have to be exactly like this

I don't think this is a bad idea, but it seems like an ambulance at the bottom of the cliff.
I would rather see changes even if those changes are drastic, to the core gameplay to make things less tedious, so we don't need bots.
