Too much string

Thoughts on the further development of Haven & Hearth? Feel free to opine!

Too much string

Postby shubla » Tue Feb 23, 2016 7:41 pm

Stuff requires too much string.
All I do is run in forest looking for string.
This is what haven has became? Run on forest and seek for roots simulator?
Theres lot of stuff like this, devs dont test it properly on dev server and then make items cost loads of string.
Devs should play game themselves to realize how much stupid pointless grinding it involves.

hunt enough and you can cut hides into string
after an hour of hunting i get 5-10 hides and i can make plenty of string as a hermit

Dear jesus shubla this is like the 10th post in as many days asking devs to make H&H more convenient. You may be playing the wrong game.

Better to have some controversy in forum than a dead one, like in a certain other game.

What's wrong with convenience? If the game is irritating, it's not fun. Tedium is not difficult, just boring.

OT: I disagree that the game requires too much string. As another poster said, use hides.

String can feel inconvenient to get at times but it's far from a scarce resource and its abundance matches its usage pretty well. Its sheer quantity can overwhelm hermits early on but even a pair of players can tackle all string requirements without sweating it.

What are you even making that supposedly requires so much string? Drying frames are the only thing I can think of. Stining Poultices maybe.

The drying frame recipe sucks
A man can only take so much bough gathering!
