Ranged combat hunting sucks

Make animals not run away at sprint speed so some people might stop using alts and other stuff to block animals so they dont run away.
Currently its impossible to hunt anything that runs away 2 fast. (Atleast mooses, foxes, badgers, deers etc.)
Only way is to onehit them which is quite difficult sometimes.

Animals should run slower when wounded, yeah

If devs want to reduce amount of alts used. They should make mechanics require less of them.

what would you do? any animal would run away when they were heavily wounded or charge you
only mechanics i can think of would be the wound is debilitating like suggested or animals bleed out in time

otherwise traps for small game would be good
as for larger game, we should have camouflage or soak ourselves in urine of the animal lol

This is particularly a problem in melee combat with tougher animals. You just can't chase them unless you fight on horseback.

In melee combat you have to hit them with punches for some time. Then use sting or something similiar to finish it off so it dies before run away mode begins.

Yup. This would be nice.
If you throw it with spear or shoot it. Or punch it in face it shouldnt run away faster than you can sprint.

Agree with topic. There need to be a mechanic, which allow to slow animals what have been hit.

Actually hunters shoot in heart/head. In other case they shoot another vital part and following victim until it die.

Or maybe give animals a set amount of stamina when fleeing. This would allow them to sprint away for a few seconds, then get tired and have to slow down to a walk/crawl, which seems more realistic imo. With the addition of blood trails, this would also make stalking wounded animals more fun than just "hope you're on grass and sprint after it while punching it in the ass"
