Why was brickwall nerfed?
With stat cap theres no use for birckwall because palisade cant be bashed.
Also you greatly reduced hitpoints and soak of brickwall so theres even less reason to build it.

Agreed, if the only difference between them is the length and intensity of siege they can handle, then that difference should be a large one.

20 more soak is a significant difference, I'm ok with how it is now.

It does not take the damage at the first instance anyway. Your shield does. So its either your 2nd or 3rd line of defence... depending on how you lay out your walls.

TBH, i think its fine. it should slow attackers down long enough if they have breached your shield that you can counter or flee.

Perhaps it should be better, but I do like how it is now for the first time ever an actual choice which one you want to build.

Rams don't need to go through shields yet (unless they do?) so a brickwall is still a better security measure against rams than palisade. You can't just use relatively fresh alts to ram a brickwall so nidbanes are actually useful there.

Some people might say whats point of brickwall then.
Well, it can take more hits from siege engines such as catapults. And its way more harder to break than palisade. So some hermit cant just raid you while youre on holiday

Edit:

@jorb. If you want us to be able to choose you should probably make the mats somewhat comparable. Right now everyone is just going to build a palisade unless you're forced to do otherwise because the mats are so much easier.

Brickwall has soak of 20.
With bcape, thanes and talisman you can easily make alts have 124 str.
Or then just give them few pieces of bearmeat to get like 20 base.
4 alts with 124 str is enough to break brickwall with battering ram.
You dont "have to" use mains foer that
