Bring back old crossroad system

Postby Ozzy124 » Sat Feb 27, 2016 10:22 pm

I know its been probably said 100 times but why is it removed? Boating around for 2 hours cuz my friends got attacked, attackers are obviously gone, wanna meet friends that live somewhere else? Boat for 2 hours. It's really bad, idk what was wrong about the old system. Or just let us port with outlaw to the charter stones, this game is so made up for peacefull farmers.. You can leave your gates open and you're 100% safe, you can't even help your friend when they get attacked becouse you can't port to them, its really bad.

I like how youre hiding fact that crossroads were mainly used by big factions to travel anywhere in world in less than 5 minutes so they can kill and raid every single soul in hearthlands.

Should've settles closer to your friends. Also, building a road that distance sounds totally doable, I made a road last world that was like 5h walking distance.

I like the road and charter stone systems, but I do indeed agree that Outlaws not being able to use Charter Stones is just bullshit. It punishes the player far beyond increasing their risk of getting caught.

stop being a burden for your parents and kill urself

Building 5h long road is fine, if your enemies arent some retarded kids that would waste the 5 hours to destroy it every day.

Allowing using charter stones with outlaw would be fine too

An issue with the teleportation that hasn't been mentioned in this thread is that it makes hearthvaults far far too easy. Imagine trying to track a criminal to get revenge on horrendous crimes just to discover that it is inside a house that is surrounded by a brickwall inside a tiny island so that if you try to even put the ram there and protect it, they can just teleport to the ram and break it or just teleport to he other side of the world into another hearthvault.

Outlaws could get increased travel weariness from using charterstones, and have to wait longer for the port to actual take place. Could vary based on crime severity.

The idea that outlaws can't just teleport away to an unknown location is sound.
