Cliff jumping

IMHO, jumping from really high cliff looks too odd, and jumping from it looks much more odd. I think it can be good idea to check height difference before jump, and refuse if it bigger than, for example, 2 players height.

don't disable it if too high, swap to a climbing animation.

The jumping look odd, yes. However realize its simpler to animate that then a character slowly traversing a proper climb and the time involved would be boring. So i don't mind it.

Arguably there should be actual mechanics involved in traversing cliffs.

Why not? In Legacy they blocked crossing entirely.

it's fine as it is, any mechanic you add would just make it worse imho.

This. There's no need to make cliffs to be pain in the ass, leave the cliff jumping mechanics alone!!!!!!!!!!

I don't see any argument against cliff mechanics other than "it would make the game harder". By what definition is the game hard enough?
