Optimize the game

Postby pedorlee » Sat Mar 05, 2016 8:48 pm

I bought a laptop 8 months ago. Its a shitty cheap i3 with a nvidia graphic card capable of run the witcher 2 without many problems. Can't play it at max but more than enough.
With this game is a damn torture. So few fps than it makes impossible to play.

I tested the game in a Pentium IV with a 4 yo good graphic card and it doesnt barely move. less than 1 fps.
With the same computer Im able to play to League of Legends in a very shitty way, but its still playable.

The worst thing is that i dont even know what to do.
I could buy for 110 euros ~ a processor and a motherboard and use the old graphic card, but im not sure if it will work.
I could spend 220 euros and get also a shitty graphic card but with my laptop experience I'm pretty sure I will get similar results.
So, what should I do?

I know this is an alpha or a beta... but I'm not going to buy another gaming pc just in case.

My fix for the fps issue was to literally double my RAM from 8GB to 16GB lol

Went from like 15 fps to 30
Stacia can't even log in, it's a mess. 3 minutes of black loading screen upon login, and that's if she's inside of a house. Logging on inside of a crowded village is basically impossible and this is with a laptop that was bought maybe 2 years ago

If pathfinding becomes good enough someday this could be possible.
Text based client with only console that you can type text to start your bots.

All the information is already there to implement your own client side pathfinding and has been  . It's completely possible if someone wants to make their own text client, it's just not practical for the average user.

Say hi to her from me.
Thats it. In my gf case she can play, but she gets stressed after 15 minutes because of the low fps while in the village.

Please devs, could you tell me or us if you have this scheduled to be soon or it isnt planned? There is a lot of people out there with the same problem.

But isn't RAM the bottleneck?
