Visitor Buff @ Cave Entrance

If you claim the inside of a cave and then put up a stick gate right in front of it, you can prevent people from passing through it completely. Even vandalism is useless due to exploiting the visitor buff in this instance.
This takes a few minutes to do, and is impossible to get around without:
A - Minehole (Extremely resource intensive at this point in the game)
B - Mining in from another cave.
C - Finding another entrance.

This abuse seems way too easy to complete for the safety it gives you.

Reported previously in PM. Will change at some point.

I was hoping for a Will Consider™, but that works too.

Mining in from another cave or even building a minehole is still less investment and time than it would require to break in to any other walled location or a location a level lower than 1 so I don't see what the big deal is. The thing you should actually be annoyed by is that if you walk in to a cave like that with the person inside they can just evict you to send you back to your hearthfire or aggro and evict you knocking you out. The fact that you can't walk in to a cave and ruin a hermit's haven life is less of an issue imo.

Because building a wall takes some effort and this literally takes a fence

You missed the point, I can still do it in a way where there's a wall inside the cave protecting things but the cave still had the fence gate and if someone walked in I could evict them because they are still on the same claim. Being able to steal and break shit or not is a minor issue. To address what you said though, you can still mine in to the cave. You can't mine in to a wall.
