Village customization/decoration poles

It was suggested before but I'm bumping the idea:

Decoration poles are plain wooden pole structures you can build and which don't do anything. If you right-click certain items on it, however, it changes its appearance allowing you to give your village more personality and uniqueness, similar to what people already do with wooden and stone structures. Some possible examples:

Nettle -> the pole becomes leafy as if with vines
Flowers -> appears as a flowery pole
Cloth/sketches -> appears as a flag of the respective color
Bodies -> halts body decay and appears as a corpse on a spike.
Skeletons -> skeletons on spikes
Metal nuggets -> appears as an engraved pole of the respective color
Metal bars -> appears with chains
Quartz/porphyry/malachite/galena etc. -> emits faint light of the stone's color
rock crystal -> emits bright light
abyssal chasm's smoke -> the pole appears as if surrounded by a dark smoke.
hats -> appears with a hat on top

Additionally, please let us right-click statues and apply any wearable equipment to them for further customization. And add more statue poses.

could we hang lanterns or something from them?

also how would changing them work? would they be able to be changed like display signs with every new item? or will it be "set in stone" once you right click them with the first item?

im in favor of the latter actually, if its the former my buddies would just have something to prank me with.
