No it did not. Legacy ran way smoother for me than this ever has. I get more lag now.

Legacy didn't run well for me until I got a good computer. Then it ran great, except every time I played it eventually caused my nice new computer to completely hang so bad I had to unplug it.

I still have that computer (edit: which is at least 5 years old) and this runs just fine and without the deadly crashes. The takeaway: stop playing on a netbook or a mac.

Most people resist change of any kind.

well i have a computer that can play almost everything and legacy still lags for me, hafen never did (except when the server was about to crash), so i'm guessing your experience is based on hardware.
