Faster planted tree terrain-spread rate

I feel as if it's uneasible to plant trees on anything but either a) a conveniently flat patch of forest that you include in your base layout

or b)a fugly unflat land of forest that you less conveniently have to include but can't terraform.

Seeing as most people are OCD about flattening, and how forcing people to center their town placement around something as derpy as existing forest tiles that don't give obsessive people aneurysms, could we at the very least have trees spread wald much faster than is presently the case? At the very least one tree should, by its completion, have spawned terrain far enough to allow for 2 other trees to grow fast. As it stands our fresh trees haven't spread anything at all yet, not even a measly tile under themselves.

Forest terrain does spread incredibly slow. Last world outside Highgarden there was an area where someone started planting trees for a better hunting ground and about 2 months later even with a decent number of trees the terrain had barely spread and plenty of patches of the old terrain (moor I think) still existed.

It's way too slow.

Does that mean I should stomp all grass I see to dirt in a tree farm?

I know it's quicker to leave non forest terrain as dirt, in order for it to spread. it's just that I think the initial tree spawned wald spreads to dirt separately from the tree spawning mechanics. so the default tree generated terrain is still slow, way too slow. last world in a 2-3 month span a thick cluster of trees had not finished covering their tiny patch to forest.

Hours and hours of work. There isn't an easy "spam trees" button. And then you still have to cut them all down afterwards. And you still had to wait weeks for it to grow and spread in the first place. Putting your quality trees behind. AAAIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Noone ever said haven is an easy game. Biom morphing is advanced mechanics, that's why it is slow.
