Animal ownership papers

Postby maze » Sun Mar 19, 2017 5:25 pm

Using a brand on animal.
Then on paper.
Makes ownership papers.
Only one ownership can be claimed at a time. It can be seen from animal if it has papers.

Having ownership papers in your inventory would allow you to leash the animal regardless of claim.

When ownership papers are in barter stand- clicking the papers will allow you to preview the animal (ideally to make sure the animal can be truly bought with being scammed).

Or sell a horse using key for a gate that holds the animal.

yes seems like a good way to go about animal markets mabye a hitchpost type of thing but like barter stand when have papers will auto leash to you when click button or something that way kinda anyone can come to market use a hitch and sell their animals and new owner can then obtain animal (one "paper" per animal prob)

(if not obtained only way to remove is distory hitch (only those with permissions) or kill animal?)

Branding was intended to accomplish precisely this. I don't think animal ownership rights should become more convoluted.
